The Opportunity


A fantastic opportunity exists for a Field Operations Manager (Field Manager) to join our water team based in Chinchilla, 4413. As the Field Operations Manager (Field Manager), you will be responsible for the overall leadership, budget, safety, maintenance, reliability and performance of the QGC Water Treatment Plants.

What you'll be responsible for

 

 

  • Managing operations per contractual requirements including ensuring the effective implementation of all asset management requirements. 
  • Developing and implementing short and long term strategic maintenance reliability strategies. 
  • Implementing continuous improvement processes, improving plant reliability and reducing downtime. 
  • Providing ongoing technical guidance and support to promote efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Providing proactive risk identification, management and mitigation. 
  • Building and nurturing strong stakeholder relationships. 
  • Driving process improvements and efficiencies to ensure optimisation. 
  • Contract and client management.
  • Business planning, budgeting and achievement of financial objectives.
  • Coaching, mentoring and growing a high performing team. 
  • Developing a safety first and continuous improvement culture. 
  • Supporting the vision of an inclusive and innovative company. 
     

What you'll need to be successful

 

 

  • Demonstrated understanding of the asset management lifecycle and, ideally experience in implementing activities to ensure it is effectively managed.
  • Ability to develop and implement short and long term strategic strategies. 
  • Experience developing and fostering inclusive, innovative and high performing teams. 
  • Experience working in water treatment operations preferred.
