The Opportunity


If you are a great communicator and skilled at community/stakeholder engagement and liaison, we have a superb opportunity for you. Working closely with our operation at Woodlawn and other stakeholders across our business, you will be responsible for support and coordination of important stakeholder, community engagement and education projects for our Resource Recovery business. You will harness your passion for the environment and skill in communication to help the community and other relevant parties understand the projects we are undertaking to help achieve Ecological Transformation objectives. You will work closely with our project and operations teams, as well as our Environment Team and our Communications Team to achieve these goals. You could work from home from Canberra or Goulburn, with regular travel to Woodlawn, so the role would give you great working flexibility.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Provide support, administration and management of engagement processes for major projects and established sites
  • Strategic advice and planning with Precinct Managers from project initiation to delivery
  • Lead education activities, communicate with interested parties, organise site tours and visits, and host visitors
  • Coordinate and facilitate community group meetings, particularly regarding Woodlawn projects
     

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • Relevant experience in stakeholder/community engagement
  • Degree or postgraduate qualifications in environment or communications or equivalent highly regarded
  • Demonstrated and proven communication, influencing, negotiation and relationship development skills
