The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ is seeking a Vehicle Logistics Officer (VLO) to join our Waste team in Cameron Park 2285. As a VLO, you will report to the Regional Manager and play a key role in a close-knit Operations Team. We are seeking a candidate with excellent time management, problem-solving, and administrative capabilities, along with the agility to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. 

You will be responsible for multiple drivers and ensuring the efficient completion of services in accordance with safety and environmental standards, customer expectations, and performance targets.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Allocate drivers and trucks to coordinate service delivery and collections, maximising run efficiency and operational performance

  • Ensure full compliance within logistics by monitoring and reporting drivers' hours, rest breaks, and preventing overloaded or overweight trucks

  • Conduct daily driver debriefs to address all operational matters and communicate any routing or scheduling changes effectively

  • Liaise with customers, administration staff, sales representatives, and managers to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner

What you'll need to be successful

  • Demonstrated administration skills with strong attention to detail and organisational capability

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to challenges

  • Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands

  • Agility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with excellent communication and negotiation capabilities

  • A genuine commitment to delivering exceptional customer service

  • Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics, or equivalent workplace experience (desirable)

  • Certificate IV in Leadership and Management, or equivalent workplace experience (desirable)
