Title:  Procurement Officer

The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ has a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Officer to join our team based in Cameron Park 2300. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in facilitating sustainable and commercial supply strategies, ensuring the timely procurement of capital products, goods, and services.

What you'll be responsible for

• Coordinate procurement activities, including tendering, evaluations, negotiation, stakeholder approval, contract award, and contract execution
• Implement procurement policies and procedures to reduce business risk and ensure best value for money solutions
• Manage the tender process, contracts database, and securities database
• Provide procurement advice to technical and project staff, and support the development of scopes of work and specifications
• Collaborate with the Veolia National Procurement Team to support adherence to Veolia Global contracts
• Prepare reports, including procurement and contract status reports, and performance compliance
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, and internal teams
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement activities
• Provide training and support to internal teams on procurement policies and procedures
• Participate in audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures
   

What you'll need to be successful

• Relevant Tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience 
• Proven track record in a similar role 
• Strong planning and organisational skills
