The Opportunity

Ready to fuel your ambition and start a career in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and repairs? We’re seeking applications for Veolia’s 2025 Apprenticeship intake to start ASAP. With a strong focus on providing safe, clean and reliable trucks and equipment for our customers, our Workshop team plays a critical role in keeping our trucks and equipment in optimum condition through top quality maintenance and repairs.

Working in a close-knit, motivated team, you will service, maintain and repair our modern Heavy Vehicle Fleet to ensure that all vehicles work to maximum efficiency in a safe, environmentally sound manner in line with regulatory and Veolia requirements.

You’ll provide routine maintenance and repairs on a wide variety of vehicles and equipment including Commercial Service Vehicles, Industrial Service and High Pressure Water Jetting fleet and accessories, Fleet Vehicles and related accessories. This is a permanent full-time role based in Cambridge 7170.

What you'll be responsible for

  • To service maintain and repair plant, equipment and fleet vehicles in a timely manner,
  • Complete scheduled daily work tasks as directed by the Workshop Supervisor/Leading Hand in an efficient and timely manner; and
  • Complete work orders and part requisitions daily and in full


 

What you'll need to be successful

  • Committed, reliable, punctual with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Prior work experience, pre-apprenticeship courses or volunteer work is not necessary but will be highly regarded.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Current drivers licence
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions
  • Committed to complete a full time 4 year apprenticeship, including practical studies
