The Opportunity

Join Veolia's Water team and play a vital role in protecting Queensland's critical water infrastructure. 

As a Risk & Compliance Officer, you'll conduct essential surveillance inspections of the Western Corridor Recycled Water Scheme pipeline, ensuring the security and integrity of our assets while safeguarding the communities we serve. This is hands on work that makes a real difference—combining technical expertise with environmental stewardship.

What you'll be responsible for

• Inspect & Monitor: Conduct regular surveillance inspections of the pipeline corridor, identifying leaks, fittings issues, weed infestations, erosion impacts and land concerns
• Maintain Records: Use our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to log findings, raise maintenance requests and track asset performance
• Ensure Compliance: Audit Dial Before You Dig enquiry locations, monitor contractor performance and verify adherence to work permits and LOTO procedures
• Stakeholder Engagement: Interface professionally with landholders and the public to maintain Veolia's reputation and community relationships
• Safety & Quality: Uphold rigorous OH&S, environmental and water quality standards across all operations
• Continuous Improvement: Make recommendations to enhance maintenance methods and support Networks Field Teams
• On-Call Support: Participate in after-hours on-call roster as required

What you'll need to be successful

• Understanding of Quality, Environmental and OH&S systems
• Ability to work independently and communicate findings clearly
• Commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental compliance
