The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Contracts & Procurement Officer to join our Gold Coast operations team, playing a key role in delivering the City of Gold Coast Road, Reserves and Stormwater Agreement (RRSA).

 

You will lead contract management and procurement activities, working closely with legal and procurement teams to ensure processes deliver real value for money to the City. If you thrive in a dynamic environment managing complex contracts and supplier relationships, we'd love to hear from you!

What you'll be responsible for

  • Manage and interpret contracts to mitigate risks, ensure compliance, and handle variations, notices, and escalations within approval processes

  • Lead KPI reporting and continuous improvement programs, ensuring monthly reports are submitted on time with relevant management reporting

  • Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies, identifying suppliers and negotiating contracts in line with company policies

  • Build strong supplier relationships and oversee subcontractor agreements, vendor compliance, contract reviews, and renewals

  • Monitor procurement budgets, track performance metrics, identify cost savings, and implement risk mitigation across all commercial arrangements


What you'll need to be successful

  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to hold time lines and deadlines as presented.
  • Have a good understanding of LGA systems, processes and service functions.
  • Have an understanding of Waste Reduction and Recycling Regulations 2011 and the Environmental Protection Regulations 2019
  • Experience in contract administration, business administration, or project management would be highly regarded
  • Engineering and or environmental science would be highly regarded but not essential
