The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ is seeking a dynamic and experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our Environmental Services team in Brooklyn, VIC - 3012.

This pivotal role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can drive operational excellence through practical experience, embody and promote our core values, meet and exceed our rigorous performance standards, and inspire and guide a team of skilled professionals.

What you'll be responsible for

• Provide strong leadership in all aspects of Health, Environment and Safety(HSE) management.
• Support the team establishing its purpose, roles, responsibilities and accountabilities
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies, plans and procedures.
• Ensure vehicles and plant are available, well maintained and in good working order to meet operational requirements
• Manage external contractors as required
• Ensure the availability of vehicles and plant in good repair to meet operational requirements
• Coordinate team meetings, ensuring actions are clearly allocated, followed up and completed
• Lead and support a team of mechanics, apprentices and contractors.
• Ensure all administrative requirements are completed accurately, promptly and in accordance with relevant policies and procedures
• Work across the Brooklyn, Geelong and Bendigo workshops

What you'll need to be successful

• Heavy Vehicle Licence
• Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Licence (Trade Licence)
• Tertiary qualifications in business highly desirable
• Understanding of National Heavy Vehicle Regulations
• Strong leadership being able to effectively work with and supervise your team
