The Opportunity

Veolia is seeking a detail-oriented Administration Officer to join our Industrial Services team in Brooklyn. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties including preparation of payroll, processing invoices, managing purchase orders and maintaining accurate financial records.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Payroll processing, including data entry, time tracking, and record-keeping.
  • Process and verify invoices and timely payment.
  • Manage purchase order requests,ensuring accurate coding, track orders and maintain vendor relationships
  • Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger, human resources related matters, training, and maintenance data support
  • Utilise SAP and other accounting software to manage financial data and generate reports
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting and finance team, including filing, data entry, and document management.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, as well as audits and reconciliations

What you'll need to be successful

  • Proven experience in administration with a focus on payroll. 
  • SAP & Kronos Experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
