Title:  Maintenance and Reliability Engineer

The Opportunity

Veolia is seeking a Maintenance and Reliability Engineer to join our water team based in Brisbane 4000. In this role you will support mechanical asset reliability and safety across two major water treatment facilities supporting the Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) project.

What you'll be responsible for

• Support Mechanical Asset management to improve safety, asset reliability, and plant availability
• Provide technical support to the maintenance team, and support best practices for asset equipment care and renewal using a risk based approach
• Engage with site operators, maintainers, subcontractors, and engineers to coordinate and deliver asset management and project management activities
• Drive continuous improvement through predictive maintenance programs (oil/vibration analysis), root cause analysis (RCA), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
• Provide technical input on changes impacting plant mechanical asset management
• Support process safety, barrier management, and staff training in safety fundamentals
• Review engineering documentation and participate in peer reviews to ensure sound engineering judgement and principles

What you'll need to be successful

• Relevant tertiary qualification 
• Experience in operational plant environments (water treatment/gas/power preferred)
• RPEQ is desirable
• Strong knowledge of reliability principles, project management and asset management
