The Opportunity
Veolia is seeking Industrial Painter & Blasters to join the established coatings team for local work in the Brisbane, QLD area.

What you'll be responsible for
-
Ability to prepare surfaces using abrasive blast equipment to specifications.
-
Coating application of both conventional and airless spray set ups to specifications.
-
Ensure client policies and procedures are applied consistently across all activities
-
Maintain the work area in a clean and safe manner at all times
-
Act as the primary site-based client focal point for Protective Coatings and provide operational/technical supervision of works performed

Take ownership for your own safety and that of colleagues and customers by following the Always Safe initiative
What you'll need to be successful

Experience in a hands-on role within the industrial painting and blasting industry.

Good understanding of blasting and coating processes.
-
Desirable tickets include Working From Heights, Confined Space and EWP. (Don’t worry if you don’t, for the right candidate we will assist you with obtaining these!)

Current drivers licence, HR licence.

Experience with blasting and spray equipment both single leg and plural pumps
-
Sound knowledge regarding problem solving / Maintenance of basic blast/paint equipment

Previous experience with PFP application (desirable)

Commitment to maintaining safe work practices

Ability to work both in teams and independently

Ability to pass pre employment medical/drug and alcohol screen

The onboarding process will require the successful candidate to pass a verification of competency in both facets of abrasive blast and protective coatings application.
