Title:  Operations Supervisor

The Opportunity

Veolia is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Operations Supervisor to coordinate and oversee the daily operations of our Townsville Industrial Services team. Working across various customer and Veolia sites, you will also assist with developing new business across the Townsville and Far North Queensland area.

What you'll be responsible for

• Day-to-day supervision of the Industrial Services team, with a strong focus on high pressure water jetting, VAC truck and drain cleaning unit operations.
• Allocate workloads, organise labour requirements, and secure necessary equipment and plant resources.
• Represent Veolia to customer representatives to ensure all works are completed to satisfaction.
• Conduct pre-shift start ups and toolbox talks with the team.
• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Monitor site expenditure alongside the Site Manager.

What you'll need to be successful

• A minimum 3 years supervisory or leading hand experience.
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a heavy industrial environment. Industrial Services experience is highly regarded.
• Knowledge of high pressure water jetting, industrial vacuum units and drain cleaning units is essential.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and direct teams.
• Experience with workload allocation and management.
• Well developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have a high regard for customer focus and developing stakeholder relationships.
