Title:  Self Insurance Case Manager

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced self insurance case manager to join the national Injury Prevention and Health team. In this role you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of NSW workers compensation claims, within a newly created NSW/ACT Team.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Case management across a designated injury portfolio in line with SIRA standards of practice, guidelines and the relevant legislation.
  • Building relationships with the workplaces, and operations teams across our lines of business including shared services support functions.
  • Claims are promptly investigated, assessed, determined and managed.
  • Development of injury management and recover at work plans.
  • Referral and liaison with rehabilitation providers as required.
  • Participate in and/or coordinate all relevant audit activities;
  • Accurate and timely electronic claims data entry and submissions to the regulator;
  • Advise Operations on injury classification processes in accordance with Veolia reporting and classification guidelines


 

What you'll need to be successful

  • Minimum 3 years experience within NSW self insurance scheme
  • Return to Work coordinator certification 
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence (site based travel will be required)
  • Experience with early intervention principles, RTW and recover at work planning.
  • Broad understanding of safety systems and HR principles as they relate to workplace injuries.
  • Experience managing self insurance licence requirements
