Title:  Field Operator

The Opportunity

Veolia is looking for a hands on Field Operator Maintainer to join our water operations team at the Springvale Mount Piper Power Station Water Treatment Facility near Lithgow.

This is a practical, on the tools role where you'll keep critical water treatment equipment running smoothly through daily operations and maintenance work.

What you'll be responsible for

• Operate and monitor water treatment plant equipment and systems
• Carry out routine maintenance, preventative servicing and breakdown repairs
• Troubleshoot equipment faults and fix issues
• Collect water samples and perform lab testing
• Keep accurate maintenance records
• Work rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays
• Respond to emergency breakdowns when needed (on-call)

What you'll need to be successful

• Trade background in mechanical, electrical or process work
• Experience working in industrial plants - operations or maintenance
• Reliable, hands on attitude and good problem solving skills
