Title:  Sorter (QC)

The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ are seeking a Sorter to join our lovely team in Bibra Lake 6163. Supporting the operational outcomes of the site, this role will involve the sorting and sampling of various recyclable materials in our recovery facility.

 

This will be a permanent full time role - day shift: 7:30am - 3:36pm

What you'll be responsible for

  • Sorting of recyclables into various commodity types.

  • Assisting in the collection of sample materials for auditing and quality assurance as well as providing transparent information to internal/external customers

  • Ensuring a high standard quality of output materials meet and exceed specified regulations

  • Collection of data records

  • Removal of contamination from a moving conveyor belt

  • Working safely as part of a team to achieve operational outcomes

  • Check daily instructions and prioritise accordingly to complete work tasks in accordance with required deadlines

What you'll need to be successful

  • Forklift license (desirable)

  • Sound numeracy, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.

  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time

  • Experience within the waste management sector or processing line work is desirable
