The Opportunity

Join the Bibra Lake team in this exciting role where you will be hands-on with your leadership conducting quality assessments and training of staff activities including Machine Operators, Sorters and Yard personnel here at our Resource Recovery precinct in Bibra Lake.

You will be a safety champion ensuring these operations are safely conducted in line with our policies and procedures

What you'll be responsible for

  • Conduct daily quality assessments and training for machine operators, sorters and yard personnel, spending majority of the day on the ground ensuring safe and efficient operations

  • Champion lock out, tag out and permit to work compliance, conducting Verification of Competency assessments for mobile and fixed plant operators

  • Ensure all employees and contractors comply with Veolia policies and procedures, maintaining operational KPIs and safety standards across the site

  • Conduct incident investigations and keep senior management informed of operating conditions, trends and incidents arising from daily operations

  • Provide backup support to AM/PM Shift Supervisors, including completing afternoon shifts when required and responding to after-hours emergency and security events

  • Foster a positive team culture while maintaining high standards of safety quality and operational excellence across all site activities

What you'll need to be successful

  • Cert IV Trainer Assessor (Desirable)

  • MRF or Transfer station operational knowledge  

  • Front line management or equivalent experience 

  • Strong mechanical aptitude in a fixed or mobile plant environment 

  • Forklift license 

  • Front End Loader, Excavator or Material Handler licenses 

  • Working at Heights, EWP, confined space license
