The Opportunity
Veolia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to safely and efficiently manage and deliver waste infrastructure projects in Perth and surrounding areas. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Technical and Innovation team and be key in delivering projects across multiple sites to approved scope, quality, schedule, and budget.

What you'll be responsible for
-
Lead, direct and partner with internal/external stakeholders to deliver projects efficiently

Coordinate the Request for Tender (RFT) process, liaising with tenderers and working with technical subject matter experts to compile and issue tender packages

Plan, deliver and review projects through all phases from initiation to handover

Negotiate and manage contracts with contractors

Identify and mitigate commercial risks, including claims management and dispute resolution

Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and commercial terms

Lead commercial negotiations for scope changes and contract amendments

Prepare project documentation (requirements, scope, plans, estimates, contracts etc.)

Identify and manage legal, regulatory, safety and Veolia requirements

Conduct risk assessments, HAZOP studies and implement safety management plans

Oversee site works, commissioning, start-up activities and operational readiness

Manage project supply chain including procurement and vendor performance

Manage project progress, milestones, risks, schedule, quality and costs
What you'll need to be successful

Degree in Engineering, Project Management or related field
-
Minimum 10+ years of demonstrated experience successfully managing construction infrastructure projects with budgets ranging from $1M to $20M

Proven ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of site works and construction projects from initiation through completion

Strong self-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, make independent decisions, and drive projects forward without constant supervision

Demonstrated capability to proactively identify risks, solve problems, and implement solutions with minimal guidance

Experience managing stakeholder relationships and communications independently while maintaining accountability for deliverables and timelines

Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to manage project budgets, negotiate contracts, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure financial performance aligns with business objectives
