The Opportunity
Are you an organised and analytical problem-solver? Join Veolia’s Bibra Lake team as our Maintenance Planner, you'll be at the heart of all planned maintenance activity, serving as the key link between Maintenance and Operations scheduling job tasks as well as supporting the efficient running of the plant.
This is a permanent full time opportunity with an afternoon shift from 4pm start working with maintenance personnel

What you'll be responsible for
-
Serve as the key point of contact between the Shift Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisor, scheduling all job tasks on shift, monitoring team performance and assisting with the effective and efficient operations of the plant.

Investigate, diagnose and rectify plant breakdowns, defects and maintenance related issues, providing accurate and timely feedback on plant equipment issues to leadership.

Provide ongoing training and education to all employees, fostering a high performing team environment built on strong interpersonal relationships, effective communication and sound time management.

Ensure all employees comply with OHS&E guidelines and Veolia safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE, following Safe Operating Procedures and reporting all injuries, incidents, near misses and hazards immediately.

Comply with all Environmental Acts, Regulations and Codes of Practice, reporting any pollution on Veolia sites and actively supporting Veolia's Environmental Sustainability Plan through reuse and recycling initiatives.

Champion a culture of continuous improvement by maintaining a positive attitude towards business improvement, identifying improvement initiatives and monitoring and implementing changes as required.

Demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision and perform other duties as assigned by the BLRRP Manager.
What you'll need to be successful
-
Asset management via CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) experience with minimum 5+ years within the waste industry desirable

Mechanical background or equivalent ideally fixed plant back ground

Able to work closely with mechanical staff

Effective communicator and able to clearly provide training and direction in assigning work tasks to mechanical personnel

Have a high level of attention to detail, able to manage inventory systems in place including lean management and continuous improvement practices
