The Opportunity


Veolia ANZ is seeking a Technician / Operator / Maintainer to join our water team based in Bendigo/ other locations as agreed. As the Technician / Operator / Maintainer you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the plants to ensure contractual requirements are met while minimising environmental, public health, and occupational health and safety impacts.

What you'll be responsible for

 

 

  • 7 regionally located water treatment plants 
  • Operate and monitor all plant equipment, processes, and systems to meet operational targets
  • Perform preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on plant assets
  • Troubleshoot and rectify equipment/process faults and alarms
  • Conduct laboratory testing, analysis, and sample collection
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on plant performance
  • Participate in a shift work roster and attend call-outs as required
  • Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and quality policies/procedures
  • Assist with plant optimisation, commissioning, and reporting activities
  • Provide training and supervision to other operators as needed
  • Note - this role requires travel regionally in Victoria with overnight stays on a frequency of 2-3 nights per fortnight

What you'll need to be successful

 

 

  • Trade qualifications or water treatment operations experience
  • Experience in the maintenance of pumps, pipelines and other mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of water treatment engineering practices.
  • Experience working effectively and autonomously with minimal supervision
