Title:  Operator Maintainer

The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ is seeking an experienced Operator Maintainer/Technician to join our Victorian Water Operations team based in Bendigo, 3550. You'll play a vital role in operating and maintaining the Goldfields Superpipe, PFAS treatment plants, and associated water networks. 

Within this role you'll work independently to keep operations running smoothly while being supported by a collaborative team. The role includes participation in an on-call roster and offers the opportunity to make a real impact in environmental sustainability and operational excellence.

What you'll be responsible for

• Operate and monitor all plant equipment, processes, and systems to meet operational targets
• Perform preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on plant assets
• Troubleshoot and rectify equipment/process faults and alarms
• Collect water samples for internal and external testing and analysis
• Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and quality policies/procedures
• Assist with plant optimisation and reporting activities
• Participation in an on call roster (Evening & Weekend Work Required)
• Working away from home (Approx: 2-3 nights per fortnight)

What you'll need to be successful

• Experience in the maintenance of pumps, pipelines, instruments and other mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of water treatment engineering practices.
• Experience working effectively and autonomously with minimal supervision
• Ability to liaise and form working relationships with key clients and stakeholders
