The Opportunity

 

Veolia is seeking an Industrial Control System (ICS) Engineer to support our Water Operations across Central Victoria.

As our ICS technical expert, you'll ensure SCADA systems, PLCs, RTUs, and operational technology assets deliver reliable water services to communities across the region. This role combines hands-on troubleshooting with strategic asset lifecycle management – perfect for automation specialists who want technical variety and real impact.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Provide operational support for Industrial Control Systems across water infrastructure
  • Execute planned preventative maintenance on SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, HMIs and OT networks
  • Respond to unplanned events with expert troubleshooting and rapid fault resolution
  • Manage ICS asset lifecycle including condition assessments, obsolescence planning and replacements
  • Maintain critical spares inventory and configuration management for all ICS assets
  • Ensure compliance with OT cybersecurity policies, industry standards and regulations
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs and work instructions
  • Collaborate with operations teams, process engineers and external contractors

What you'll need to be successful

 

  • Engineering degree (Electrical, Mechatronics, Instrumentation or related)
  • Proven PLC experience with Rockwell and/or Schneider platforms
  • SCADA systems knowledge and hands-on industrial control systems experience
