The Opportunity
Veolia has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Process Engineer to join our team based in Central Victoria. As the Senior Process Engineer, you will assess drinking water and wastewater quality, ensuring contractual, health, environmental, and legislative obligations are met across our Bendigo, Ballarat and CFA contracts.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to optimise the operations of our processes and assets, provide technical support to our Bendigo, Ballarat, and CFA contracts, and contribute to business development projects.

What you'll be responsible for
- Ensure treated water and wastewater quality meets or exceeds contractual standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis to identify and mitigate process risks, optimise performance, and troubleshoot issues.
- Develop and implement process control philosophies for water treatment plant optimisation.
- Conduct process reviews, and investigations, and respond to process/environmental incidents.
- Provide expert technical advice on water quality, wastewater treatment, and reuse issues.
- Champion Green Up Net Zero initiatives to reduce chemical and energy usage.
- Support business development through the review of plant designs and technical specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to operations and technical support teams.
- Participate in industry organisations and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations.
What you'll need to be successful
- Tertiary qualifications in chemical engineering or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in water or wastewater treatment operations
- Sound knowledge of Australian Drinking Water Guidelines and relevant environmental legislation
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
