We are looking for someone to join our Team as a Project Manager responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of diligent project management systems and processes to ensure the achievement of Veolia’s and clients outcomes.

What you'll be responsible for

  • New Zealand with a focus on communications, planning and resourcing.
  • Assist the Construction Manager with the achievement of Safety, Quality and Efficencent outcomes.
  • Support the Regional Teams and National Project Management/Estimation Team, with the preparation of project documents, estimates and proposals/tender submissions.
  • Accurately forecast and provide income accruals for all projects under the Trenchless Manager
  • Accurately monitor costs (including cost to complete) and measure and value contracts against work programs to ensure timely completion maximising profits.
  • Ensure Progress Claims are completed and invoiced appropriately as required and in a timely manner.
  • Collate field records and input data for accurate daily productivity
  • Perform audits and checks for site compliance with Safety, Environmental & Quality management plans.
  • Ensure pre start, construction and post construction documentation and processes and is executed as required by the contract and tender documentation.
  • Complete the associated administration work in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Contribute to the management of the Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems while applying the procedures in all aspects of work.

  • Comply with the requirements of Veolia New Zealand Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Policy Statements, including participation at local toolbox and health and safety meetings.
  • Adhere to all written and verbal instructions, procedures and information issued by Veolia New Zealand relating to both health and safety and environmental issues and with all relevant clauses of the Integrated Business Management System Manual.
  • Comply with the requirements of the company business management system and company policies, contribute to the company commitment to provide safe, high quality drinking water and wastewater services that consistently meets or exceeds the requirements of the Contracts.
  • Report any problems with the business management system, particularly in relation to the management of occupational health and safety, environment and quality.
  • Undertake such general duties as required for the effective provision of services to the client and customers
     

What you'll need to be successful

Qualifications:

  • Relevant water industry experience.
  • Hold tertiary level qualifications in Project Management or Civil Engineering

 

Experience:

  • Have 5+ years' experience in project management in the three waters sector
  • Tendering for projects, including pricing and format of non-price attribute information.
  • Internal and External Subcontractor management
  • Experience in water, wastewater and stormwater lining renewals projects is advantageous.

Other relevant skills or information:

  • Computer literate, proficient in GOOGLE platform
  • Current driver's licence.
  • Ability and willingness to work out of hours when required & in any location in NZ
