We are seeking an experienced and driven Commercial & Contracts Specialist to drive optimal commercial and contract outcomes across Veolia NZ activities. The position is ideally based in Veolia’s NZ Corporate Office in Ellerslie, Auckland, however can be based at other Veolia NZ locations for the right candidate.

What you'll be responsible for
- Commercial Champion responsible for negotiation of commercial and contract matters and driving improved business outcomes.
- Optimising and streamlining existing business commercial models to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Provision of training and knowledge transfer to Operations personnel, upskilling their contract knowledge and ensuring strong commercial and contract business acumen.
- Direct collaborative working with Operations to drive optimal outcomes in areas of contracts / variations to ensure timely and optimal handling of matters such as change in law, new assets, scope change, contract extensions.
- Commercial oversight of Veolia NZ supplier agreements working closely with Operations.
What you'll need to be successful
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of diverse and innovative commercial contract models.
- Strong commercial acumen and contracts experience with demonstrated proficiency in commercial and contract negotiations, financial modelling and project management.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills (including ability to speak to both technical and non-technical stakeholders).
- Attention to detail and time management capabilities (with demonstrated ability to deliver under time pressure).
- Strong commitment to customer service and customer outcomes and an understanding of 3 Waters activities.
