The Opportunity
We are looking for an Senior Accounts Payable Administrator to join our Finance Team. Reporting to the Finance team Manager your main task will be to provide accounts payable support for day to day New Zealand Finance operations.
This candidate will be leading the payment run process and will develop positive internal relationships by understanding all applicable business processes and assisting the wider internal team with any supplier matters. Fixed term posistion 7 months, full time.

What you'll be responsible for

Process invoices (invoice receipt) in SAP that have been received from the NZ Business.

Ensure purchasing controls/DOA in place have been followed before processing invoices.

Form part of the Ariba supplier on-boarding process and review applicable information with other teams within the organisation.

Obtain familiarity with our Veolia Asset Management System (VAMS), the current business purchasing tool for NZ (system and interface process);

Assist with monthly payment reporting where applicable (mid-month balances for cash flow etc);

Process intercompany invoices after authorisation, and check the other business units to ensure the invoices/balances match on a monthly basis. Follow up unprocessed invoices internally.;

Develop positive internal relationships and work with the team to resolve any matters;

Work with Contract Managers/Administrators to ensure data quality within relevant systems and
accuracy of information within your area of responsibility;
What you'll need to be successful

Minimum experience of 3 Years in accounts payable roles will be beneficial;

Have awareness of internal controls, and how they work in a large business;

Ability to develop excellent internal relationships, and work with the team to resolve matters;

Ability to work unsupervised within your role, and work with the team to achieve common goals.

Experience with NZ GST;

Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal;
