The Opportunity

Veolia is seeking a commercially astute Contract Manager to join our Sydney Municipal Collections team and drive excellence in client relationships and contract performance. In this pivotal role, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for all contractual matters, ensuring our service agreements deliver optimal value whilst maintaining strict compliance. You'll work closely with our Operations team to manage cost variations and process improvements, whilst leading formal communications and negotiations with clients on contractual amendments, variations, and issue resolution. 

 

This is a complex and challenging position where you'll attend client meetings, coordinate timely responses to outstanding matters, and continuously refine our contractual and administrative processes. If you're a proactive professional who thrives on building strong client partnerships and has a keen eye for commercial detail, this role offers an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact within Australia's essential services sector.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Contractual adherence to individual contracts

  • Optimise commercial opportunities within contracts

  • Monthly reporting of contract compliance

  • Point of contact for contract contractual items / issues

  • Manage contractual process and variations 

  • Manage cost variation approval process in coordination with the Operations team 

  • Optimise contractual and administrative processes 

  • Formal communication with client of contractual items / issues

What you'll need to be successful

  • At least 5 years experience working in a similar role ● Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or extensive industry experience 

  • Comprehensive experience in managing and tracking project costs 

  • Solid understanding of legal requirements associated with contract management
