The Opportunity

 

Are you an experienced operational leader with a passion for safety and compliance? We have an exciting opportunity for a CDS (Confidential Destruction) & Medical Manager to join our Environmental Services team at Dry Creek, SA. 

 

In this pivotal role, you will provide hands-on management and leadership across our fleet collection and thermal destruction facility. 

 

You will play a key part in ensuring medical wastes are handled and treated safely, our customers are served effectively and efficiently, and that our plant operations remain fully safe and compliant. This is an onsite based role.

What you'll be responsible for

 

  • Leading and managing a team of drivers and incinerator operators, including rosters, training, and day-to-day personnel management

  • Overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the Dry Creek thermal destruction facility, including contractor management

  • Ensuring full compliance with all relevant licences and regulations, including Safework, DAFF biosecurity, and SA EPA

  • Recording and investigating incidents, conducting workplace inspections, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment

  • Acting as the key point of contact for customers, the VLO, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and timely resolution of issues

 

What you'll need to be successful

 

Qualifications, Experience & Licences

  • Valid Driver's Licence (MR licence preferable)

  • Forklift licence (preferable)

  • Frontline management training or equivalent practical experience

  • Experience in the waste industry (desirable)

  • Experience working with hazardous chemicals (desirable)

  • Experience using SAP, salesforce or similar (desirable)
