The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ has a fantastic opportunity for a Sludge Treatment Plant Operator to join our team at the Moomba Sludge Treatment Plant (5710). As a Sludge Treatment Plant Operator, you will be responsible for sampling, daily operation and maintenance tasks.

What you'll be responsible for

• Be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the sludge treatment plant, complying with OHS requirements
• Understand all process, maintenance and operational issues occurring on a day to day basis
• Perform routine work orders, preventive maintenance and breakdown tasks as directed
• Monitor plant operations and assist in plant optimisation
• Undertake sample collection and laboratory analysis
• Undertake process troubleshooting and problem solving whilst identifying process improvements
• Carry out routine maintenance duties including managing resources, tools, and equipment
• Contributing to a safety first and continuous improvement culture

What you'll need to be successful

• Current car licence
• Experience in plant operations preferred (or currently studying related field with site experience)
• Knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment is preferred
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised
