The Opportunity

Veolia’s Industrial & Energy business is seeking a field and office based Project Engineer to join our growing Remediation Services team. This role will require regular travel, both local and interstate, travelling to client sites. This opportunity has become available due to an internal promotion, and for someone to make their own and kick start their career!

What you’ll be responsible for

 

  • The day-to-day delivery of our remediation services to our clients onsite. This includes organising inspections, inductions, sampling, and organising relevant equipment, logistics, and labour.
  • A primary focus on soil remediation, waste and civil projects.
  • Planning and coordinating projects and compliance reporting for both Veolia, client and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee all field activities from an end-to-end basis, including supervising subcontractors, sampling integrity and client meetings.

What you’ll need to be successful

  • Tertiary qualification in either Environmental or Civil Engineering.
  • 1-3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the management of site operations, specialising in soil remediation, civil, environmental or water projects
  • Current drivers licence
  • High-level communication and organisational skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
